Machinery Availability & Delivery Times | Buying Guide

Buying and comparing industrial machinery

Buying machinery: check availability and delivery times before ordering

For a business that needs industrial machinery for a specific project date, the delivery commitment can be as important as the technical specification. A product being listed online does not automatically mean that the exact configuration is available for immediate dispatch.

1. Confirm which model and configuration is available

Ask the supplier for the exact reference, electrical supply, standard equipment and optional components. An alternative voltage, longer sliding table, different hydraulic attachment or control package may affect availability and lead time.

2. Stock, supply to order or manufacturing time

Distinguish a machine physically in stock from one offered on request or assembled after purchase. Ask for an estimated dispatch date in writing and what must happen before the machine can leave the supplier’s facility.

3. Compare machinery by project needs

For workshop equipment, review the Damatomacchine Master 750.3L and HOLZMANN WP50H press. For agricultural use, check the INTERTECH 7S feed mixer. Each listing has different dimensions and transport requirements. The examples do not imply guaranteed immediate stock.

4. International freight and unloading

Confirm weight, packed dimensions, loading arrangements, destination postal code, site access and whether a forklift or crane is required. Ask who arranges the delivery, who is responsible for unloading, and whether insurance or special transport is included.

5. Installation and production readiness

Schedule any power, compressed-air, extraction, drainage, flooring or commissioning work needed for the machine. A delivery date is not necessarily the date on which the equipment will be ready for production.

6. Confirm the full purchasing timeline

Request separate dates or conditions for quotation acceptance, payment, dispatch, transit and installation. Compare not only the price but also the likelihood that the machine fits the project’s technical and operational requirements.

Questions to ask before purchase

  • Is this exact model and configuration available today?
  • Which accessories are included?
  • What is the estimated dispatch date and the delivery destination?
  • Are transport, unloading and installation quoted separately?
  • Who supplies after-sales parts and documentation?
