Buy Industrial Machinery With Installation and Commissioning | Buyer Guide

Commissioning and installation can affect whether machinery operates safely and as intended. A professional buyer should agree in writing what services are included, who supplies them and the site’s own responsibilities before accepting a quotation.

Installation, positioning and connection

Check transport dimensions, weight, lifting equipment, unloading, foundation or floor load, power supply and any necessary water, extraction, compressed air or network connections. Agree whether the supplier or customer arranges each task.

What does commissioning actually include?

Ask whether start-up covers inspection, calibration, trial production, control adjustments and verification of safety functions. Installation and commissioning may be distinct services and should be itemised separately.

Define objective acceptance criteria

For production equipment consider acceptable performance with the intended material, dimensions or throughput, test conditions, responsible staff, documentation, remedies and handover. Record what happens if essential requirements are not met.

Training, warranty and after-sales support

Confirm if operator instruction, maintenance training, manuals, spare parts and on-site support are included. Warranty coverage and service location depend on the actual supplier and written sale conditions.

Compare prices including all site work

Calculate the machine, tools, tax, freight, unloading, installation, commissioning, training and any site adaptations. A listing price does not guarantee that commissioning is included or factory stock is available.

Published new professional machinery to compare

These models have different applications; compare each only with machines able to perform the same work.

Prices, equipment included, stock, warranty arrangements, installation and freight must be confirmed for the selected model and destination.

Request a machinery buying quotation

Send the required job, capacity, exact model or preferred type, power supply, installation needs and delivery country/postcode.
