When standard machinery is the right choice
A standard model can be appropriate if published working capacity, dimensions, controls and tooling meet the job without substantial modification. Check the factory specification, options, available electrical supply and documentation rather than relying only on a model’s name.
When custom machinery is justified
An engineered project may be needed for unusual materials, high throughput, process integration, special dimensions or automation. Request a detailed scope document with performance acceptance criteria, drawings, interfaces, safety responsibilities, training and spare parts.
How to evaluate an engineered machinery quotation
Compare the total project cost, design work, milestones, payment terms, delivery, factory acceptance testing where applicable, installation, commissioning and service support. Clarify responsibility for scope changes and what happens if performance criteria are not achieved.
